Biography
1978
Glenn started racing in sprint and hill climb cars, moving onto Formula 1 stock car racing in 1983, by 1985 he had aquired
an ex John Lund car and had his first f1 win at a very wet Aycliffe stadium.
1991
he began racing outlaw stock cars and then joined Warton, he came close to winning the championship in ‘93 in one
of his dad's cars. Glenn returned three years later after battling critical illness to win the ‘96 stock car silver
top Championship again in a car built by his dad.
2006
season and Glenn enjoyed his best and most consistant year to date, finishing third in the point’s championship
( red + white squares roof for 2007 ) and second in the track Championship.
2009 was
more of a test year with the ex-Johny Clarkeson #5 car. It was aquired midd season and took Glenn and his dad a
few meetings to get it sorted but still managed to take a pot or two......The championship race was a family affair with Glenn
leading untill the 5 lap marker then it was his brother Jason who put him away and took the win, notwithstanding
this it was a great race. What can we expect in 2010, well we would love another top ten finish in the points and a few
trophys especially one on championship day would be nice bring on 2010!
2010 Glenn started as he ment
to go on with wins in the pre-season openers. Glenn led the points early in the season and ended the season with 10 trophys,
4th in the points and 3rd in the championship race. He also managed to win a Final and one of the feature races on championship
day.Next season and it looks likely there will be an increases in drivers with some quick cars we will
be looking for a top ten finish in the points, and a trophy on championship day, let's see what happens.
2011 Glenn
started 2011 as he started 2010 by leading the points race, but engine problems all year saw him finish in 10th spot (100
points). The championship race was hectic, twice coming through the pack and into podium places before re-starts pushed
him back in the pack ... 4th place was as good as he could have wished. He did however take the "Marine Trophy" for the
second year in succession and a tuxedo moment on presentation night. Looking forward to 2012.
With over 60 outright
race wins in stock car racing, Glenn hopes there's more to come ...........
